PvE

Griefing
Destroying or damaging other players' builds. Banned on most servers.
Raiding
Attacking and looting enemy bases in Factions/raiding servers.
Land Claim
System that protects your builds from other players. Common in survival.
Economy
In-game money system for trading with shops and other players.
Ranks
Player progression levels, either earned through gameplay or purchased.
Crates
Loot boxes opened with keys for random rewards.
Kit
Pre-made set of items given to players, often with cooldowns.
Spawn
Central area where players appear. Hub of most servers.
Warp
Teleportation point to specific locations on the server.
Technical

IP Address
Server address used to connect (e.g., play.server.com).
Port
Network port. Java uses 25565, Bedrock uses 19132.
Ping
Connection latency in milliseconds. Lower is better.
TPS
Ticks Per Second. Server performance measure. 20 TPS is optimal.
Lag
Delay or slowdown caused by poor connection or server performance.
Plugin
Server-side modifications that add features without client mods.
Mod
Client and server modifications that change gameplay significantly.
Spigot
Popular server software that supports plugins.
Paper
Performance-optimized fork of Spigot server software.
Forge
Mod loader for creating and running Minecraft mods.
Fabric
Lightweight mod loader, faster updates than Forge.
